The Know-It-All Fallacy: Hmm, yeah, she’s got an answer for everything..

"And he was never known to make a foolish move." -Bob Dylan
"You can fool all of the people some of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time." -Abe Lincoln

You know what I am talking about. Have you ever met someone who is always right. Even when they are wrong, they are right in their own mind. They go into every situation having already ruled out every other opinion, because it isn't theirs. And how could anybody else possibly know enough to have any valuable input on the situation?

They have input on everything because they have been there and done that! There is nothing out of the scope of their knowledge, or so you would think, if you were to listen to them. Pick a topic, they have a comment, and to them it is the absolute most important comment you are going to hear for a very long time.

When you talk to Ms. Know-It-All, she never really listens to you. If you watch her face closely, you will find that the entire time that others are talking; Ms. Know-It-All is formulating her next statement. Usually it is a way to prove you wrong, even if you aren't currently disagreeing about anything.

Most of the time, Ms. Know-It-All is in her own little world. She has to stay there because that is really the only place where she actually knows anything, and where anybody will actually listen to her. You see, in the real world, Ms. Know-It-All doesn't actually know all that much. In fact she is usually wrong most of the time.

The sad thing is that if there is a Ms. Know-It-All that is reading this blog right now, they are probably nodding their head in agreement, and have come up with something to comment about already. In fact, it is probably the most important comment about a "Ms. Know-It-All's" that I have failed mention. Well, Ms. Know-It-All, let me have it, what did I leave out? *wink

R u important enough?

The opposite of love is not hate, but apathy. Hate is a by-product of love. So when you hate someone, you actually loved that person first, but then something went wrong, and the love you previously felt now turns to hate.

That said, let me state for the record that, no, I do not hate you. For me to hate you, you have to be important enough for me so I can love you first, and then hate you.

So no, I do not hate you, because you are not important to me. *wink*

I hate them!!! ;/ They are evil!!! 0_o

Im not talking about those palmetto bugs, those big, fat dark brown bugs that lurk in the bathroom, waiting for the perfect opportunity to fly into your hair.. haha! Im talking about those little so-called-german-disgusting-little-buggers-in-their-own-right roaches that loves to infest in apartment dwellings.

Yes! unfortunately i speak from personal experience. Lately, these creepy, yucky creatures are invading our kitchen.

Roaches like clean homes, too!

Its a common misconception that roaches only lurk in filthy places. If you keep your house clean, you should have no problem at all, right? WRONG! If you live in a hot climate place like in the middle east. a clean house is not going to discourage a roach or limit from stopping in for a visit.

See, even though roaches can supposedly live for a month without food, they need a drink every now and then. They can't go more than a few days without some water. During the hot summer months, they are going to go where the water is... your house! And where can we find the most moisture in your home? That's right: The kitchen and the bathroom.

Filth is not a prerequisite for roach visits. Moisture content is.

Roaches Are Hard to Kill

As disgusting as they are, I have a grudging respect for their abilities. They have super-fast reflexes. They can beat a hasty retreat when we threaten them with shoes, rolled-up newspapers, and other menacing household weapons. Even if you manage to hit one, there's a good chance it'll recover.

I've even heard that roaches can survive for days without their heads! If they didn't need to eat or drink, they'd live quite happily in a decapitated state. Well, maybe not happily, but you know what I mean.

Whether you believe roaches evolved to perfection or that God gave them Houdini-like gifts for some perverse reason, you can't deny that roaches are pretty darn good at surviving.
 Gripping Roach Facts

  • Roaches have white blood. Though you wouldn't guess it, what with the mess they leave behind when you squish them.

  • Pregnant for life. Yup, some female roaches only have to mate once in order to keep popping out a bunch of baby roaches for the rest of their lives.

  • They can hold their breath for 40 minutes. Sorry, Guybrush, being able to hold your breath for ten minutes is impressive, butroaches have you beat.

  • White roaches are not albinos. If you see a white roach, it simply means it just shed its old exoskeleton.

  • A roach can run about 2 miles an hour. Proportionately speaking, that's wicked fast.

  • Roaches are lazy. They spend about 75 percent of their time resting up for those "Let's scare the humans!" marathons.
