We all have a safe haven, or a place inside of us with a voice that tells us everything is okay. We set boundaries or parameters on how close people can get to us. We have rituals which we perform in our daily lives that make us feel secure. We reserve parts of our lives from others in order to escape being judged. These are actions that are familiar to us and therefore bring us a great deal of comfort and security. As long as we aren't forced to leave our comfort zone, our pulse and blood pressure remain normal; life goes on as normal.
Leaving your comfort zone means doing something you’re normally not comfortable with, with the intention of beating the status quo and conquering your fears.
My roommate is finally ready to leave her comfort zone. Ready to take the risk and to break the habits. She’s leaving for Canada today. Papart asked me if it has hit me yet that Smile is leaving for real and won’t be right around the corner anymore. I felt so sad but I know a better life is waiting for her there. And I have better chances of visiting Canada without spending for a hotel stay. ;P
Smile has been my roommate of all time. No one basically know the real friendship we have. We completely understand each other more than an average room mates does. Although smile is leaving and wont be in my physical locality. She will be my best roommate and we don’t need a physical relationship to continue to be friends.
