My Roommate of all time

We all have a safe haven, or a place inside of us with a voice that tells us everything is okay. We set boundaries or parameters on how close people can get to us. We have rituals which we perform in our daily lives that make us feel secure. We reserve parts of our lives from others in order to escape being judged. These are actions that are familiar to us and therefore bring us a great deal of comfort and security. As long as we aren't forced to leave our comfort zone, our pulse and blood pressure remain normal; life goes on as normal.

Leaving your comfort zone means doing something you’re normally not comfortable with, with the intention of beating the status quo and conquering your fears.

My roommate is finally ready to leave her comfort zone. Ready to take the risk and to break the habits. She’s leaving for Canada today. Papart asked me if it has hit me yet that Smile is leaving for real and won’t be right around the corner anymore. I felt so sad but I know a better life is waiting for her there. And I have better chances of visiting Canada without spending for a hotel stay. ;P
Smile has been my roommate of all time. No one basically know the real friendship we have. We completely understand each other more than an average room mates does.  Although smile is leaving and wont be in my physical locality. She will be my best roommate and we don’t need a physical relationship to continue to be friends.

Hi elli,

Wow! I can’t believe you won’t be home later anymore, and tomorrow, next day and the next week pud. I admit it was okay till yesterday, karon mingaw mi ni iyom on our way home. Anyways, I wish you all the best didto. Continue to serve the Lord and be a blessing to others. I will see you soon! =) Take care pirmi.

sad and broken

That's how I feel. broken. And I'm sure many of you have felt/feel the same way for whatever reason. Mine today is simply missing my mom.
its been 7years..there is definitely a process to grief and I don't think mine fits the "norm." I see myself (slowly) getting stronger and trusting in my great God who has never failed me.

I pray the Lord will send me a "kindred spirit" friend- one with whom I can pray, talk, laugh, share , encourage, cry, etc.!

I want to be so careful to not let it consume me. It does get easier, praise the Lord. I know a lot of my thoughts seem/are very selfish. I'm just sharing what's on my heart, if for no other reason that just getting it out. I love the fact that the Lord hears me when I cry. What a comfort, what a source of joy.

God is so good and continues to give healing to the broken. Now go give your mom a hug, if you can :o)

Christmas far from home ...

We're kicking off the last month of this year. This is another Christmas far from home, not  with my brother again neither with mommy. I'm not sad, but I'm not so happy either. Unfortunate things have happened not only to me but also to the whole country that broke hearts and shattered hopes. Even our people from Cagayan de Oro and Iligan is experiencing the hardest this season.

December also means the end of another year. This year didn't start great for me. Then it got worse. Then it got a whole lot worse. Then it got better. Then it got waayy better. But the one thing I know for sure as this year winds down and I get ready to begin a new year of my life, God used this year to change me. To make me 10 times the person I was in so many ways.

I am sure I will look back on this year for the rest of my life as some of the happiest moments and some of the saddest moments I will ever experience. But no matter what happens to me from here, I know that I will carry with me what I've learned this year. That God loves me. That He is in control. That He wants me to place Him first in my life. That He will always lead me through His word. That He is capable of sooo much more than I could possibly imagine. That if I can truly let go and allow Him to be the central focus of my life in every way, He will fill me with an everlasting joy and peace that is exactly what Christmas is all about.

With the continued stories of tough times I'm not quite sure of what lies ahead and what is Gods plan for me and my family.. I am looking forward to 2012! =)

Have a blessed Christmas everyone! Keep smiling! =)

I am utterly humbled that God not only hears my prayers but answers them.
He heard my cries about my family, and so many others. He hears me when I cry. He hears me when I call upon Him. He hears me. He sees me. He understands me. He does what’s best for me. I don’t know where I’d be without Him. I can take a guess and none of them would be pretty.

missing home (''.)

"You'll never miss the water till the well runs dry.." maybe it is cliche but at least its true...
Ive never missed the peeps back home like this....
Its a difficult life here, but Im doing things for the greater good. I guess a little sacrifice is needed to reach your star. Just a few more mornings before I finally wake up in the land that a lot of us call HOME!
Message me anytime.... it helps take away the burden....
